Covid Statement and procedures
Whilst all Covid restrictions have now been relaxed we still have additional post clean room checks in place to ensure consistently high standards and customer hand sanitiser stations (in key locations).
Contactless payment and contact free check out have become normal.
Absolute Luxury
All of our rooms come fully equipped with everything you need. Comfy beds with Egyptian cotton bed linen for a good nights sleep; mattress toppers for even more comfort; black-out curtains; ambient mood-lighting; super-powered power showers; Samsung Hi-Def LCD TV’s with built-in Freeview and/or Smart TV access, irons and ironing boards in every room.
Other little luxuries include The Abbey’s FREE Wi-Fi and of course our excellent, friendly, customer service as standard!

24 Hour Service
We never stop…we never close. Whatever the time of day or night we can provide just about anything you need. ‘Vroom’ room service really is that…Fast! Once we hear service is required somewhere our staff are on it…‘Vroom’.
Meeting Room
We now provide a private meeting room for full or half-day bookings. Functional spaces with super speedy wi-fi and enough cutting edge technology to shake an infra-red pen at!
Abbey Meeting Room
Natural daylight, central heating, two (yes, two!) flatscreen TV’s, free Wi-Fi, absolutely private, ground floor, disabled access, boardroom, classroom or theatre set up.
This room can comfortably seat up to 36 delegates and it has an adjoining, private lounge.
We can look after all your refreshment needs including tea, coffee, mineral waters, biscuits, sandwiches, fresh fruit, etc, and to wind down afterwards you can enjoy a drink in our bar or a freshly ground coffee.
Imagine it and we can make it happen! (ahem…strike that thought!)

Parking
We have private, off-road parking available on a first come, first served basis at no extra cost. This is covered by CCTV for additional security.
If your vehicle needs specialist security or moving have a word with our on-site Parking Concierge (ie. leave your keys at reception!) and we’ll do the rest.
Breakfast
Enjoy our fabulous Abbey Breakfast – freshly-cooked-to-order Full English in the mornings or a selection of continental options; croissants, cereal, plain or fruit yogurts all washed down with a choice of fresh fruit juice or filtered water!
Tea & ground coffee are available with unlimited refills!
Breakfast is included in the price of your stay but why not have some friends join you? Extra breakfasts are charged at just £10.00 per person.
Vegetarian and vegan options are readily available and special dietary requirements can be catered for, with notice.
If you want to grab something quickly and get on with your day, we can even do sandwiches to-go – Just ask!
All food and produce at The Abbey Lodge Hotel is proudly locally sourced for the authentic taste of Yorkshire!
Food & Drink
To help you relax and unwind at the end of the day, we have a fully stocked bar where you can enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine from our extensive range.
Disabled access
Because of the nature of the building we are not fully disabled compliant. However we do have ground floor wet rooms with level access which are suitable for disabled people.
Pet friendly
We understand completely that pets are part of any family and as such we are 'pet friendly'. Pets are very welcome in the private areas of the hotel and there is an additional charge of £15 per pet, per night to cover any extra cleaning costs. Due to the fact that not everybody likes pets or are perhaps allergic no pets are therefore allowed in the bar/dining area.
